The ladder climbs the wall
Inviting a climber there
Whether a painter
Whether a burglar
It cares not and worries not
All it cares is the care
About the number it is propping
In the day
And in the night
And in the rain
And in the sun
And in the cold
But someone needs to hammer
A rung into that ladder
That will let a climber fall
For the sake of all their wrongs
And a door will swing open
To the great Counsellor and Judge
